Description

Hi, I bought the 500GB ndas drive with the intention to use it as a network drive between my fedora core 6 desktop and my PS3 running Yellow Dog Linux. I am not an expert in linux but did try to create the RPM from the .tar file in my ps3. Unfortunately, it gave me an error that the platform which is PPC64, is not supported. It think it can be a big market advantage to support the Linux-PPC64 platform, because it can definetly motivate the PS3/Linux users community to buy your product. Thanks in advance for taking into consideration my request.

Regards, Francisco Victoria

That is a great idea, and we will treat your idea very seriously. we will make an announcement once we make a decision to support PPC64 in the future. but at this moment, we don't have any schedule for PPC/PPC64 support. Thank you for your suggestion.

let me close this as duplicate of ticket #27

I think it would be wise to accomodate the YDL users with Ximeta products sometime soon before demand goes with others products more linux friendly. A driver would resolve this issue. Mentioned 10+ months ago with no progress what so ever. Even if a workaround exists it would be nice to be advised.

Can Ximeta's NDAS be supported in Yellow dog linux 5.0.2 through the Fedora Core drivers, if yes, witch one?
